David Street Station Demolition
The Casper Downtown Development Authority is excited to announce that demolition of the existing buildings located on the downtown plaza site will commence on Tuesday, July 26th. The DDA will celebrate this milestone by hosting a public groundbreaking event to witness the first wall officially coming down. All members of the public are invited to attend the ceremony which will be held at 1:00 P.M. on W. Yellowstone side of the plaza site, located directly across from The Lyric.
“This is a huge step forward in the process of bringing this to the heart of our community. Today is the culmination of years of hard work and dedication. On behalf of the DDA Board of Directors and staff, we would like to thank the Casper City Council, city staff, Wyoming Business Council, our private donors, and the public for their continued enthusiasm and support – we wouldn’t be where we are today without it” said Kevin Hawley, Executive Director of the Downtown Development Authority.

Balloon Fest in Downtown Casper!
We’re excited to present our 3rd annual Balloon Fest! Families will love the dedicated kid’s area with face painting, corn hole, and science experiments from The Science Zone. Sinclair Casper Refinery will be handing out free dinosaurs to kids, and the fire department and police will be on the streets for community engagement. Balloonists from the Casper Balloon Round Up will line the streets with a candlestick glow starting at dusk. There will also be a beer garden, live music from Radio Rogue and John May, and food vendors. Don’t miss this special event for the whole family!

DDA- Board Applications available
Stakeholders,
The Downtown Development Authority is receiving applications for positions on our Board of Directors. The term is from 7/1/16 through 6/30/2020. Although we welcome applications from all, the Board currently lacks the industry expertise of a CPA and Lawyer. If you or someone you may know is interested, please contact us for an application. Along with your application, please submit a cover letter and resume. Applications must be received by May 12, 2016.
