MATCHING GRANT & SPONSORSHIP GUIDELINES

PROGRAM GOALS

The Casper Downtown Development Authority invites downtown businesses and property owners to enhance the vibrancy and appeal of our community through strategic grants and sponsorship opportunities. These guidelines are designed to ensure clarity and fairness.

  • Applicants must operate within the Casper DDA boundaries.
    • Businesses: Small businesses, including startups and established businesses, that contribute to the economic vibrancy of downtown.
    • Property Owners: Individuals or entities who own commercial or mixed-use properties in the downtown area and wish to make improvements that benefit the public or local businesses.
    • Nonprofit Organizations: Nonprofits that serve the community through cultural, educational, or economic development initiatives located in downtown Casper.

  • Applicants may apply for matching grant funds for any public facing exterior improvement to your property.
    • This would include but is not limited to projects that improve the aesthetics of your property (paint, signage, lighting, etc), address safety concerns (lighting, cameras, etc.) or bring the property up to date on ADA compliance.
    • This would not include improvements to the interior of your business, such as new shelving, displays or furniture, carpeting, paint, etc.
  • If the property owner is not the same as the business owner, permission must be obtained from the property owner for any changes to the property and they must sign the Application. Follow up with the property owner will be part of the vetting process for awards.

    • Brief description of the project
    • Drawings, renderings or photographs of the project
    • Bids or paid invoices not less than 30 days old

  • Applicants must comply with all applicable local regulations and zoning requirements. Projects should meet the requirements of the City of Casper, including permits, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
  • Work must be complete as a condition for grant payment.
  • Sponsorships will be considered for events scheduled within the boundaries of the Casper DDA or for programs taking place within a business operating within the boundaries of the Casper DDA.
