Experience Downtown Casper: Cowboy Up During CNFR

The “best of the best” is heading to Casper again and we are bringing the fanfare to Downtown Casper. From June 8th to 15th, the College
Nationals Final Rodeo (CNFR)
will be at the Casper Events Center to host over 400 cowboys and cowgirls as they compete for the top spot in their respective events. Whether you are new to town, just visiting, or have your roots planted here, this is an event worth seeing. We have a few places that you won’t want to miss out on during the rodeo and put them into the perfect guide, so you know what’s next on your schedule:

Lou Taubert Ranch Outfitters

Probably the most well known on our list is locally owned and operated Lou Taubert Ranch Outfitters. Boasting over 10,000 pairs of cowboy boots in stock, this merchant also carries hats and western wear for the whole family. Three generations of Taubert family members have been outfitting customers for more than 80 years. Their expertise when it comes to gear for participating in the rodeo, watching the rodeo, or enjoying rodeo festivities is unmatched. Not only is the customer service outstanding, but the 55,000 square foot store is also impressive and worth seeing for yourself.

The Cadillac Cowgirl

From glitzy and glamorous to cool and comfortable, the Cadillac Cowgirl has something fun for everyone. Shop for a new outfit for a night out or get your spa essentials for a quiet night in after the excitement of the CNFR. When you aren’t shopping for yourself, you can find great gifts for anyone on your list. A unique selection of wine and martini glasses or witty signs and decorations will make any recipient – including yourself – feel amazing.

Wyo Shirt & Gift

This local tourist hot spot carries all things Wyoming. Grab a souvenir for those on your list including t-shirts, Wyoming food products, and other Wyoming-themed gifts. Their large selection of t-shirts and sweatshirts will outfit the whole family!

C85 Branding Iron

When it’s time to grab a bite to eat, head over to the Branding Iron.  Anything from this local restaurant is delicious but their standouts are the 100% Wyoming beef gourmet burgers. Named after cities all over the world, each hand-crafted meal is served to impress. A full-service bar and scrumptious shakes will round out any meal.

Downtown Hoedown

On June 15th, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m, David Street Station will host the finals pre-party before the champions are crowned that evening. Live music from Lacy Nelson, a Ten Sleep native, will get you geared up for returning headliner Jake Maurer of Nashville. The Hilltop Bank Splash Pad will be running and the beer will be flowing as you enjoy this afternoon festival complete with food trucks. Ready to try your hand at on a bucking bronc? Even if you’re not, there will be plenty to do at this CNFR-inspired festival.
