The Downtown Development Authority and the Downtown Casper Business Association

The Downtown Development Authority (DDA) is dedicated to creating a successful Downtown district that is clean, safe, and vibrant. While this continues to be a part of our mission, we can’t do it alone. The Downtown Casper Business Association (DCBA) and the DDA work in tandem to create a Downtown that Casper needs and deserves.  

What is the difference between the DCBA and the DDA? 

We’re glad you asked. Many of our core principals are similar. Those include bringing businesses to Downtown Casper, providing support for these businesses, and promoting hometown values through activities, events, and the overall “feel” that Downtown Casper gives to our residents and visitors. 

Both entities work hard and use their resources to ensure that everyone in Downtown Casper has the support they need and that it’s a place people want to be.  

As the DDA, our focus is on building owners. Our mission is to be an active agent for promoting and enhancing Downtown Casper. We aim to bring new businesses into the city center and fill the open spaces throughout the DDA boundaries to ensure downtown is thriving and full. We believe that Downtown Casper should be safe, clean, and accessible to all. That’s why you’ll find a great mix of shopping, restaurants, private housing, entertainment, financial services, professional services, state and federal centers, and our public library all within walking distance of each other. 

The tenants in each building (retailers, restaurants, professional services) receive great support from the DCBA. The DCBA is a group of merchants and professionals whose goal is to make downtown the premiere shopping and entertainment district in Casper. The ability to provide a unique and local shopping experience give the DCBA great pride. 

Working Together in Downtown Casper 

This year, each entity welcomed new leadership to their Board of Directors, and we are excited to see Downtown Casper get better with each new idea, event, business, and opportunity! 

Many events and activities are planned for the coming year so you will want to stay tuned for announcements and updates.  

So, what’s next for the DDA and the DCBA? You can expect a phenomenal holiday season in Downtown Casper starting with the annual Christmas Parade and Ice Rink Opening. This collaboration between the DDA, DCBA, and Visit Casper will make this holiday season the best there has ever been in Downtown Casper!
